“I fall in love with the world every day. I’m amazed how many people don’t, those who cultivate bitterness or selfishness, who miss the sparkling spirits in front of them, who are blind to Nature’s wonders, who parade around with busywork but miss life’s work of noticing, appreciating, feeling, loving, giving, celebrating. I constantly find myself falling in love with people too, not just some esoteric love with “the world” in general, but quite often literally with so many individuals I meet. I’m not talking about an intimate kind of love as I’m beyond blessed in love and happily married. What I mean is I fall in love with people: how they think, how they express themselves, their courage in chasing their dreams, their commitment for family, their spirit, their integrity demonstrated each day as they face a sometimes difficult world, their laughter and their striving and their hope and empathy. I love people as my brothers and sisters and mentors and friends, as kindred souls living joyfully and dutifully under this big canopy of Grace.”
